AstralPool Mineral Guard is a dependable secondary sanitising solution designed to reduce chlorine demand while helping maintain cleaner, clearer, and healthier pool water. Using natural mineral ions together with advanced controlled release technology, it delivers continuous support against bacteria and algae without the need for powered equipment or ongoing metal level checks.
Powered by AstralPool’s Nature2 technology, the system features a specially engineered alumina core that gradually releases silver and copper ions into the water flow. Silver works as a proven antimicrobial to help manage bacteria, while copper helps inhibit algae growth. Together, these minerals provide effective secondary sanitisation for up to six months per cartridge.
Unlike many mineral ionisers, AstralPool Mineral Guard runs solely on water flow and does not require a separate power source. Its patented Controlled Release Technology keeps mineral levels below the staining threshold, removing the need for copper testing and helping prevent surface staining when used correctly. This also helps protect pool shell warranties by avoiding the high metal concentrations that can cause problems with other systems.
Mineral Guard must always be used with a primary sanitiser such as chlorine or a saltwater chlorinator. Australian standards recommend maintaining at least 1ppm of chlorine. Once installed, simply replace the cartridge every six months to continue supporting healthier, well-balanced pool water.
